Kerri Boles

Don’t have one. I’m not up on the technology.

Where are you from?
Bama. Fittingly.

Who do you work for?
I work for the man-and the mane. I work at Criminal Records (the record store-not the Department of Criminal Records) and The Local.

What are your Current Project(s)?
I’m always working on needlepoint projects-usually needlepoint portraits…I’m also looking to start a hip hop duo with my girls Colleen and Candice. I think it’s more of a fantasy group though. None of us have time for extra projects right now. We might be 80 years old before it happens. That shit would be tight though. Can you imagine 80 year old grandmas in spandex with saggy tits rapping about getting laid?

Who would you love to work with?
Music and fashion are two of my favorite things. On music…Amanda Blank. That girl is fierce. Kid sister too. Love that girl. I think we could all be best friends. On fashion…Marc Jacobs. He’s always been a favorite.

If you had to give all your sneakers away to charity except for one pair, which ones would you keep?
My new adidas that my boyfriend bought for me…cause they’re brand new and not beat to shit like the rest of ‘em. I realize its charity and all but look – I need new kicks too. Even if my boyfriend has to buy ‘em for me.

What’s on your iPod right now?
TOO much crap! I have to keep deleting shit because I’m too lazy to go buy a new one. I’m always listening to the Kid Cudi though. He’s my new jam.

What’s your Favorite ATL food?
My favorite place to eat is Sun in my Belly over by Kirkwood. I could seriously eat there everyday. I want one in my backyard. That would be ideal.

What’s your Favorite ATL hangout?
I like to hit up El Bar on Saturdays. The clientele gets pretty ridiculous. It’s nice seeing all the white guys in flip flops and visors trying to throw down to some Lil Wayne…like “Yeeeaaah boy! I’m feelin it!” It makes for good people watching.

What are your Pet Peeves?
I don’t have a lot. I hate when I’m working at the bar and people say “Thanks, sweetheart.” I reserve that word for people like my dad. I’m also peeved when people break plans. I’m a busy woman damn it. If i make plans with you – know that I’ve put aside a bunch of other shit to hang out with you. Respeck :)

Shout outs?
Ugh. I’ll save the extended list for our rap record – where I’ll thank the T-Mobile folks, the mailman, my bank, the folks at the carwash for keepin’ my car all shiny…for now – a shout out to my family and friends. Especially Candice, Colleen, Reed, Megan & Scott, Shayne, Michelle, all the customers at The Local for helping me pay my bills-i am forever gracious…all my co-workers at Criminal and “The Locash”…Team Awesome.
