Mistah Fab - Hit Me on Twitter

August 31st, 2009 by Larry

Thanks to Franco for spotting this one on MTV Jams today:
DJ Greg Street from Atlanta’s V-103 radio station made a cameo in this video repping one of our out-of-stock & (regrettably) out-of-production fitteds from this Spring. If you were lucky enough to score one, congrats. It’s a collectors item now! I’m not at liberty to elaborate on that any more.

PROCESS Fantasy Football League

August 21st, 2009 by Larry

process_fantasy_football.jpg

Football season is upon us, and we’ve decided to run a fantasy league this year. It’ll be my first time to play, since I’m die-hard Cowboys & Falcons, I find it hard to draft/root for enemy players (Redskins/Eagles/Giants/Saints/Panthers/Bucs/etc). Anyway, I’m putting my hatred aside this season to have some fun with you bros and gals.

The top 3 team owners will receive hefty PROCESS prize packs.

Sign up by emailing us at rsvp@wearetheprocess.com. You’ll receive a registration email from ESPN shortly after that. Spots are limited, so make sure you sign up soon!

Draft day is Sunday, August 30th at 1pm EST.
You can choose to autodraft as well.

Photo Friday: Tilt-Shift Photography

August 21st, 2009 by Joe

dsc_9312-2.jpg

What’s up world?? This is Joe Martinez, taking over for my good friend Ross for this week’s Photo Friday. I wanted to share some images I created during my recent trip to Greece last month. This is my second trip to Europe this year, and my first time in the Mediterranean. I definitely took advantage of the beautiful weather, good food, and amazing scenery. It was also a great opportunity to practice a fun technique that some of you may have seen floating around the internet. “Tilt-shift photography” is a selective focus technique using a specialized lens that controls the orientation of the plane of focus of a particular scene or subject. The results vary, but it’s possible to achieve what some have dubbed “fake miniature” photography, creating the illusion of a miniature or toy model look. Some clever Photoshop enthusiasts found a way to do this without the use of this lens making the technique available to anyone with a little patience, the right image, and few Photoshop tools. A simple Google search will provide you with several tutorials on how to achieve your own tilt-shift images. More T-S photos from Greece after the jump! Read the rest of this entry »

Air Max LeBron VII’s Designer, Jason Petrie

August 11th, 2009 by Larry

Footwear designer, Jason Petrie, speaks about working with LeBron James on the Air Max LeBron VII. This is a rare opportunity to look under-the-hood of a highly anticipated sneaker. Over the weekend, I had a chance to speak with Jason about his design inspirations in Cleveland and I look forward to learning more from him in the future. Thanks to Nike for keeping the pathway between us designers wide-open!

Check out some of his preliminary sketches after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Ink and Dagger’s Man Day - Photo Recap

August 11th, 2009 by Chris

picture-006.jpg

Hey guys! Chris here. This past weekend I had the opportunity rep PROCESS as the brand sponsored Ink and Dagger’s Man Day. The owner Russ Abbott put together this festival for dudes that enjoy good beer, great tattoos, and good friends. He went all out for this event with sword-swallowers, fifty dollar flash tattoos, carnival games and a lot of cool prizes to win from the wheel of destiny. It was truly a great day to be a man! Thanks to Jeremy from Ink and Dagger for inviting PROCESS to be a part of this amazing day! Check out more of my photos after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Exposure Recap

August 10th, 2009 by Georgios

exposure-26.jpg

This weekend, we were lucky to be part of the Exposure fashion show. It was put on by our friends at XTM Online. Since Larry was off in in Cleveland for LeBron’s new sneaker release, Chris, Calvin and I were there to represent Process. Luckily we had fashion show veteran, Megan Huntz to help us out. A few days before the event, we all brainstormed and came up with the idea of sending our models out on the catwalk together as couples. Megan fitted her models with her dresses and our models walked out with some fresh Process gear. All the designers had some amazing work and the show turned out great. Thanks to Chris and Calvin for all the help with the show. Props to Jamie Hopper for the great photos.

Check out more photos after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

The Nike Air Max LeBron VII

August 7th, 2009 by Larry

l23_1.jpg

This morning, at the Ed Davis Community Center in Akron, Ohio, Lebron James unveiled his new sneaker to a room full of local student athletes, media reps, and the rest of the world via webcast. Also present were sneaker designer Jason Petrie of Nike and the MC of the morning was one of my favorite comedians, Kenan Thompson from Saturday Night Live.

I want to jump right in and call out important design aspects of the new sneaker:

•The sneaker took 18 months from design conception to finished product.

• The most notable change from LeBron’s old models is the drastic changeover from Zoom Air to a full Air Max unit on the bottom of the shoe. This is the first time a full Air Max bag has been used in a basketball product.

• Since LeBron is a big player, his needs in a shoe require for it to be able to take a beating on court. However Nike was challenged to making the shoe more durable while simultaneously making it lighter in weight. Therefore, they employed Flywire technology, which we have seen previously in many performance products as well as a lot of the Nike Sportswear offerings in the Flymotion Cortez and Air Maxim.

• Jason Petrie wanted to focus in a day in the life of LeBron James as his inspiration. Calling from his lifestyle, be it luxury hotels, automobiles, high-end fashion, and on-court basketball references.

• The outsole has 5 flex grooves, representing the 5 players on the basketball court.

• The midsection bears 23 stripes, referencing his number.

• The outsole features a 3D decoder key which, when the shoe is rotated, displays LeBron’s credos — Passion, Fearless, Tradition, Community, Family & Loyalty

• 7 Flywire strands on the tongue reference the 7th model in his signature shoe series with Nike.

Finally, LeBron will be embarking on a 10 city world tour starting next week to promote his new sneaker in addition to a documentary about him titled, More than a Game

The sneaker itself will be released on October 24th, 2009. Check out more angles and colorways after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Photo Friday: The Photographic Dictionary

August 7th, 2009 by Ross

beer_hasisi_parkjpg.jpeg

This week I share with you The Photographic Dictionary. The concept is pretty simple, to define words thru imagery. If you’re looking for a good place to get lost on the internet this Friday I highly recommend checking out this website. There is a ton of great young talent to check out and they even take submissions for words and post a new photographers work every day in the fresh meat section. Here are just a few of my favorites from the dictionary. Read the rest of this entry »
