Holiday Chillin’

December 25th, 2009 by Larry

Here’s a photo I snapped of Cristo & Ben chillin’ in the back room at El Bar this past Wednesday night. We were all there for an impromptu night out, enjoying Mayhem’s set. If you haven’t see Mayhem do his thing on Wednesdays, you should make a point to catch his dubstep/crunk sets. Bananas!

NSW Destroyer Jacket x NY by Nike Sportswear

December 17th, 2009 by Larry

Here’s a first view of the NSW DESTROYER Jacket that represents the spirit of competitive sport in tribute to NY. Tomorrow (December 18th), there will be 21 of these jackets available at the Nike Sportswear store at 21 Mercer Street in NY. I’d recommend picking one of these jackets up. They’ll last several lifetimes.

Admit it. If you had a letterman’s jacket, you flaunted it. If you didn’t, you secretly wanted one. The Nike designers went all-out in creating this edition of the Destroyer Varsity Jacket. Raiding the All Conditions Gear (ACG) innovation cache, they found fabrics, laminates and bonding methods that could brave nasty weather but still look fresh.

It’s ALWAYS Only A Matter of Time…

December 17th, 2009 by Larry

until a good idea is emulated. Maybe it’s a coincidence, but I really doubt it considering the proximity of Tuscaloosa and Atlanta. Anyway… Hook ‘em!

Set It Off: Farbod Kokabi

December 16th, 2009 by Larry

Farbod Kokabi

Farzad Moghaddam

Where are you from?
The upper West Side?

Who do you work for?
I’m a senior designer at Armchair, co-owner of Geographic North.

What are your Current Project(s)?
Wrapping up work on an upwardly human expose of pedantry and sophistication for the College Board.

Furthermore, Geographic North in 2010 is Windy & Carl, Mountains, Paul Duncan, Charles Atlas, Au Revoir Simone, Christopher Willits, The Papercuts, Rameses III and perhaps more. The plot thickens as our wallets do.

Lastly, I am heavily invested in recording an album with some men of talent.

Who would you love to work with?
The people who are the best at what they do are all dicks.

If you had to give all your sneakers away to charity except for one pair, which ones would you keep?
It’s less that I own a pair of sneakers and more that I wouldn’t give anything to charity.

What’s on your iPod right now?
I have two ipods. One I keep for myself and one filled with Bon Jovi that’s meant to be stolen.

What’s your Favorite ATL food?
$12 sandwiches from Star Provisions

What’s your Favorite ATL hangout?
Trader Vic’s. My fondest memories of Atlanta reside there.

What are your Pet Peeves?
The ever judgmental eye of old people.

Shout outs?
Armchair brethren and parents.

Check out the newly re-launched website designed by Epidemik Coalition. They wanted a website that allowed them to tell their intriguing stories (via a user-updated blog) and more importantly, to sell the goods created by the people in the stories. We created a structure that allowed them to customize the site and determine where different types of information will go. Check out their site, and revisit it often, as the content changes and evolves rapidly! While you’re visiting, pick up some fair trade goods for the holidays!
