A few months back, Matt Halfhill from Nice Kicks called me about working on a special collection of clothing and hats for his brand. Rather than do the typical “collab”, I suggested we do something a little different, hence the idea for Nice Kicks vs. We Are the Process. Since both brands represent their region of the Southern USA, we decided to brand this showdown as The Southern Series. There are a lot of element from the Process brand that were easy to carry over into the baseball aesthetic, however Nice Kicks needed some new elements to be created by us. Parts of their branding already existed, but the most important new identity mark we created for them was an western-inspired interlocking NK logo. What do y’all think? Austin’s Nice Kicks & Atlanta’s We Are the Process brand celebrate their love for America’s favorite pastime in the Southern Series Collection.
Representing the Southwest: ATX’s Nice Kicks channels the winning tradition of The Ryan Express and introduces a newly designed “NK” mark emblazoned on snapback caps & logo tees. A similarly styled Nice Kicks raglan completes the uniform set.
Hailing from the Dirty South: ATL’s We Are the Process introduces new variations of their iconic Chief Nokahoma logo snapbacks in “classic” and “throwback” colorways. Rounding out the uniform set are a crossed-tomahawk “Tommys” logo tee and a new version of Process’ varsity-lettered baseball raglan.
Finally, Southern Series logo tees commemorate this Nice Kicks vs. We Are the Process match-up. The collection release will take place at the Nice Kicks shop on Sunday, March 20th. We Are the Process will be in Austin for this release and for their showcase at SXSW’s debut Style X event.
