The End is Now, Mayan Pyramid, Mayan Code

Today being 12.12.12 makes it very unique. This numerical coincidence won’t happen again for many years. But another date approaches that has some conspiracy theorists paranoid, 12.21.12… The Mayan End of Days. In honor of this once in a lifetime event, we are releasing iPhone wallpapers of some of our graphics from the past.

On December 21, 2012, we will be throwing an End of Days event at Graveyard. The We Are The Process booth setup with all the newest gear. Make sure to mark it on your calendar and spend what might be your last day on earth having a good time.

Burnaway Event

September 7th, 2012 by Georgios

kracken_vs_atlantis_web.jpg

I created this illustration for the Burnaway Fundraiser Event this Saturday the 8th from 7-11 at the Granite Room in Castleberry Hill. They’ve asked artists, writers, performers, and designers to explore the theme of Atlanta’s ongoing cycles and history of building, destruction, rebuilding, renewing, and expanding–from Sherman’s march to the sea to pre-Olympics urban renewal, from our short memories of the past to our long-running myths of the future–and what the city has lost and gained through these cycles.

I’ve always thought that Atlanta needed a giant monster. New York has King Kong and Tokyo has Godzilla and now Atlanta or in this case #ATLantis has the Kracken.

Dragon Con Parade 2012

September 5th, 2012 by Georgios

dc12_8.jpg

Once again, the Dragon Con parade wow’d the crowd with its hordes of loyal fans dressed up as their favorite sci-fi or fantasy characters as they marched thru downtown Atlanta. There you will see some of the most elaborate costumes like Zombies oozing with blood or 14 Ft tall demons on stilts. There are not just costumes but also replica cars and elaborate floats. My favorite had to be seeing Ecto 1 in person. The Back to the Future Delorean also brought back memories. Too bad Marty McFly wasn’t wearing the Nike MAGs. Last not but not least, Star Wars fans dressed up as Storm Troopers ended the parade with an imperial march down Peachtree Street.

Check out more images after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

The Building of the Mayan Pyramid

May 15th, 2012 by Georgios

mayanpyramid_process_web.jpg

Here’s a quick look into the building of the Mayan Pyramid graphic. We always start with pencil and paper to plan out the execution and then move onto the computer. Inspired by the Teepee graphic and the “All Seeing Eye” pyramid, we wanted to put a Mayan spin to it so we strayed from the original pyramid design and made it into a “Step” pyramid.

You can check out the t-shirt on the WATP Online Store.

Map of the Dead

mapofthedead_web2.jpg

You can never be too prepared for a Zombie Apocalypse. Map of the Dead is a great tool to locate resources near by incase of a sudden outbreak. It lists everything from gun stores to grocery stores and marks the highly populated areas in red. Here’s a screenshot of the W.A.T.P. studio off Ponce. Unfortunately, we are right in the middle of Atlanta and no gun stores near by.
