October 20th, 2008 by Georgios

heavy_mojo_tee.jpg

Here’s a new tee that we designed for Heavy Mojo, a band that we recently just started working with. They will be on tour with Rehab this Fall and then later with Fishbone. This is Todd (Heavy Mojo’s Road Manager) holding up a fresh new tee that was dropped off right before their show Friday night. Keep a look out for future EC x HM tees.

October 17th, 2008 by Larry

If you came through El Bar tonight for the PROCESS x ThoughtMarker event, you probably talked to Cory and Slugger about the Atlanta Falcons and their Dirty Bird mentality at the front door. If you were able to score yourself one of our Limited ATL tees, consider yourself lucky! Lots of photos after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Afternoon Tee

October 14th, 2008 by Larry

We recently took on a small identity/merch project for NY-based singer/songwriter Will McCranie. This afternoon, we received proofs of a simple one-color graphic tee design based on an illustration by Georgios. It’s nice to get back to our roots every once in awhile and have some fun with limited-run pieces that have heart and soul.

Set It Off: Evereman

October 7th, 2008 by Larry

Name:
EVEREMAN

Aka:
Caterwaul, Clawed Reality

Website:
www.evereman.com

Where are you from?
Appalachian foothills Shelby, North Carolina

Who do you work for?
I’ll tell ya some jobs I’ve had: Glass Bottom Boat Skipper, Chimney Sweep, Apple Picker (Wisconsin), Movie Projectionist, Short Order Cook, Tilt-a-whirl operator, Tree Planter (Texas), Baker, Midnight Shift Sprout Waterer, Carpenter, Late night DJ at an automated radio station (not much to do, I used to spray paint the cockroaches in the breakroom. Those rascals look good when they scatter all Day Glow), Made belts out of Alligator skin (ATL) a while, I was a Bean Man at The Frij, Hotel Maid, Janitor at McDonalds. I have been self employed for a while now, Designer of Goods. I teach part-time to help fuel my art with cash money. Actually, I have three distinct artist personalities that I split time with. I prefer to keep my Enonymity so as to be able to do my E-thing UN-hindered.
EVEREMAN is not about me, it’s about all of us. I feel sure that whatever people have in mind about EVEREMAN, it’s more intriguing than I am. EVEREMAN is a beautiful idea, it is not an individual.

What are your Current Project(s)?
I’m painting some orange and black Hallerween EVEREMAN tiles for the season, Got my eye on a nice, visible, accessible bill board that screams out for EVEREMAN, just printed some skate decks with Danger Press, some group shows coming up. Also, I am in the market for some chunks of busted concrete, lots of it. Anybody know of a pile of busted concrete chunks laying around, let me know there whereabouts, will ya? Recently finished refurbishing a broken city bench E-style then replaced it for folks to use at a Marta stop.

Who would you love to work with?
Well, I gotta tell you, I am enjoying answering these questions with you, Larry. I’d love to work with any good-hearted ATLien.

If you had to give all your sneakers away to charity except for one pair, which ones would you keep?
I got a sweet pair of black leather Converse hightops that they don’t make any more. I’m trying to take extra good care of them now.

What’s on your iPod right now?
Woody Guthrie, The Carter Family, The Black Lips, Vietnam,  Ralph Stanley, The Upsetters, The Delmore Brothers, Anna Kramer, Judy Chicago,  Jimmie Rodgers,  High Grade Ganja Anthems Vol. 2. Ennio Moricone.

What’s your Favorite ATL food?
My favorite chef, hands down, is Linton Hopkins. I still haven’t had one of his 10 pm limited edition hamburgers, but I’m gonna git me one. On a daily basis there is Fellini’s Pizza, Willy’s Mexican, Carol Street Cafe, Six Feet Under, Figo, West Egg, Noni’s, Brick Store (did you say beer?)

What’s your Favorite ATL hangout?
My back porch, come on over.

What are your Pet Peeves?
People who are inconsiderate of others. Gonna reap what you sow.

Punch Out Trailer

October 5th, 2008 by Larry

Ok, so I wouldn’t normally post something like this, but I must say that Nintendo has “nailed it” as far as branding is concerned for their Wii-iteration of the infamous Punch Out game. Upon viewing this video, I nearly lost it. Seriously, they couldn’t have done a better job modernizing a classic. The characters, storyline, and even the theme song have tipped their hat at the original game (which used to bear Mike Tyson’s name) and have been carefully re-rendered to the glee of twenty-somethings worldwide.

Imagine how easily a bunch of suits in a boardroom could have found a reason to re-concept the whole game. I’m glad they didn’t. Sometimes you don’t need a bunch of d-bags telling you what to do. Sometimes it’s fine to follow the old adage, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. For Nintendo’s sake, it’s safe to say that this game will make a killing in 2009, as 80’s nostalgia should be enough to sell this game alone.

I wonder if the password, 007 373 5963, will do anything…
