Drop Dead Gorgeous is stylish social gathering bringing together the best of Atlanta’s fashion, music, and nightlife community to benefit victims of global child trafficking.
The purpose of the event is to help raise awareness of sex trafficking and help you realize that we can each personally do something tangible to address this issue. One simple first step is to attend the event and take advantage of the chance to purchase a “beauty kit” - a package of hair and makeup products- that will be given directly to the girls who are recovering from their trafficking experience.
Epidemik Coalition has decided to donate a custom EC kit which will include a 1-off tee designed specifically for the event, limited edition buttons, and stickers. Whoever bids on our bundle will be getting really rare Epidemik Coalition schwag and will be donating to a great cause.
Come out to Eclipse di Sol tonight (December 6th) and enjoy free Peroni beer, free sangria, delicious food and door prizes. This fun evening will be guided by a few select hosts that will also help us learn about the plight of trafficking victims in Europe and Asia.
Even though it’s studio week for us Portfolio Center brats, we’re going to go out and show our support for real people doing really good things in our community.
No excuses…don’t be a self-centered, apathetic-lazy-ass-bitch…your school work can take a back seat for a couple of hours and everyone who has a job should be off of work by 9pm. Hadi is going to be there and I KNOW for a fact he’s a busy dude (just look at all the freaking photos he took for George on his Flickr account. Not to mention the shoot he’s going to do for me on Friday).
So you really have no excuse!
It’s about 20 minutes long, so everyone ought to check this out because not only can you get a good overview of where EC came from, you can also check out the entire presentation including interviews and pre-show jitters. Check this out, it’s not to be missed.
So last night was our Down South Design presentation at SCAD Atlanta, and it went soooo well. Thank you to everyone who helped put the entire thing together, to the other presenters and especially to everyone who came out who is now part of the EC army. Thanks to Jared Dalcort for filming the entire presentation and grabbing photos and for being more helpful and supportive than we could have ever asked for. And, we did meet Mychael Knight. Chilled with him in the green room, and got to take some pics too. Here is our very own tentenlarry and Lacey with Mychael himself.
Here’s the roll from the MODA opening taken by Hadi Seyfi. I’m putting up the whole roll, blurry pictures and all… I mean artful pictures.
Seriously though, Hadi has been doing some hot work down at PC lately. He’s only one of a very few photographers that I trust and enjoy working with.
Thanks again to everyone who came out and to everyone who has helped us out with photography and phone calls, etc. There are tons of good things that are happening with Epidemik Coalition this next year. Stay on top of it.
Shouts to our boy Jorge Menes in Germany.
“To A T” is now officially up and running. The turnout for Epidemik Coalition was huge and unexpected. Our crew definitely repped it all night. These are just a few photos from my camera, but they should give you a taste of what the show was like, in case you couldn’t make it out. The show will be up until January 13th at Museum of Design Atlanta.
George did a quick presentation yesterday and we put together this video celebrating the happenings from the past year. Here’s to the next year of Epidemik Coalition success! Thanks to everyone all over the country who’ve been so supportive.
Shout out to Girl Talk for the soundtrack.
Need directions to the big show? Just Click here, print out the directions on the next page, and show up on time. The opening reception is only from 6 to 9pm so don’t be late. Don’t spend like 3 hours deciding which EC shirt you feel like wearing just throw one on and get up there!
This comes straight from representatives of the museum, “I am super excited about the opening–word on the street is that there’s going to be an Epidemik Coalition Army, which is awesome.”
Of course there will be. The entire EC family is coming out for this one. There will be an official “To A T” after party at The Globe.
The Epidemik Coalition after-after party is at The Local. Whiskey-Cokes & Newcastles for everyone.
Here is a taste of what you’ll see at the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) “To A T” exhibit featuring your boys. We designed this window space to resemble our guerilla studio, starring Munnysaurus Wrecks. Thanks to Dave “Night Ripper” McCanless for helping to lead the installation of our “mini studio” and for taking these teaser pics.
Come out on Thursday night to the opening reception from 6-9pm and come to the after party at The Globe. We’ll put a map up tomorrow.

This zip hoody celebrates our 1st anniversary and it features a remix of the first Epidemik Coalition experimental poster. This hoody is extremely limited and not available for purchase. It will be distributed solely among close EC friends and family members who have helped us take our first steps towards success & to those who we’ll pass the torch on to after we’re long gone from Portfolio Center. Here’s to the next year and the 2007 re-remix of this awesome graphic.
Thanks to the everyone who has taken part in the Coalition this past year,
Alright, here’s our flyer for the MODA Opening Reception where tons of our work will be featured, including Munnysaurus Wrecks. Grab this image and send it out to everyone you know. If you want the URL so you can link it on your blog or website, click right here
We’re gonna need everyone’s help to get a huge EC family turnout to the show so it’s time for you to get your “guerilla-promo” on!
Make it work!
What a riot!
Girl Talk rolled into Decatur on Friday night (10.6).
The dancefloor stayed hot while all the regulars threw down to an amazing and unpredictable set. Ladies were dressed-up in costume, lesbians played grab-ass, and ballers bobbed their heads to the crunk beats.
Here’s some more promo tees for the “To A T” exhibit taking place at the MODA on Oct. 19th. Mark that on your calender. These are unisex shirts so we finally got some girl tees. They come in Pink on Black/LG and Cyan/Sm. The neon orange on purple comes in SM. So get em while there hot. Read the rest of this entry »
