The Chucktown homie, Righchus, drops his video for the single Stroker’s Row, employing the classic “light trails” effect to tell his story. Stroker’s Row appears on his new album, Black Cradles, which is the rappers most solid effort to date. I previewed a rough edit of the album 9 months ago, and am happy to hear where it’s come to. Here’s a 10 minute behind the scenes documentary of the process behind Big K.R.I.T.’s new album, Live from the Underground. This is one of my favorite albums of the year, and it’s nice to get some added context in the album’s creation. I love when he sketches his album art concept onto a piece of paper. Everything starts on paper people! S/o to Mike Hartnett, a good friend of our brand for many years. It’s great to see him get some shine as well.

Jack White‘s debut solo effort, Blunderbuss, dropped on Tuesday to the delight of the eccentric songwriter’s cult-like following. I recently realized that I too, may be one of those fans I speak of. I don’t recall consciously making the effort to purchase each one of his previous albums, but as it turns out, I own hard copies of each White Stripes record. So with that in mind, I was eagerly awaiting this new release from Mr. White, as my life had been devoid of his tunes for a few years. I can honestly say that this might be my favorite collection of tunes he’s ever released. Blunderbuss is my new album of choice, and Trash Tongue Talker is one of my new jams!

The homie, Stranger Day, is shooting the lights out with his latest release, A Sunday Drive with the Windows Down. Once again, Stranger Day teams up with producer cohort, Emynd, as a follow-up to last summer’s Bar Stool Bounce EP, featuring a collection of new songs compiled with some of the bangers off the BSB EP. Staying true to his Southern roots, Stranger Day, spits his mantra over some of rock & roll’s most famous riffs. Don’t sleep on Don’t Kill My Buzz, I’m the Man, or Independence Day.

Tracks on ASDWTWD feature Chip tha Ripper and PlayBoy Tre. All tracks are produced by Emynd and Derek Allen aka DJA of Mad Decent. Enjoy this release, as rumor has it that this is just the tip of the iceberg of releases that Stranger Day has planned for us this year.
