We’ve teamed up with STANDARD to sponsor their yearly NCAA Basketball Bracket Pick ‘Em Contest. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for the people with the highest scoring bracket.
1st place will receive a pair of Sneakers from STANDARD, a Spring ‘10 PROCESS T-shirt and a PROCESS Fitted.
2nd place will receive a Spring ‘10 PROCESS T-shirt and scarf.
3rd place will receive a Spring ‘10 PROCESS T-shirt.
To enter, all you have to do is go to Yahoo and join the Standard group, Click Here! Remember you need to have a Yahoo username and password. So if you don’t, take 2 minutes and set one up. Our Group ID is: 29834 and our Password is: 1234. Be sure to allow others to see your email when you are setting up your team so we can contact the winners at the end. Don’t worry the Standard staff or Process crew winning. Should that happen, the prize will go down to the next highest scoring person. We’re just in this for bragging rights.
Pop the bubbly! We just wrapped up a web design + web development project that we’re very proud of. NY-based events & experience-marketing specialists, MeanRed Productions, enlisted us to give their website a complete overhaul. Check it out here and leave a comment with your thoughts.
We’ve been puttin’ on Warpaint for Spring ’10. Right now, you can pick up some of these ultra-glossy, skateboard-worthy preview stickers from Standard on Peachtree or with any of your online orders (while supplies last).
If you spot any of these around town, send us your pics. Maybe you’ll get something nice in return!
I’ve only been teaching at Portfolio Center for 6 months, but this is probably the best (or my favorite, at least) Entertainment Design concept so far.
The assignment was to create and album cover for the Miley Cyrus vs. Notorious B.I.G. mashup. Hilaaarious!!! This is a work in progress, and I’ll definitely update the final project once it’s dunzo.
Dem Rehab Boyz are back on the road and bassist Hano Leathers shows off what they’ll be living in for the next two months. Follow their twitter to see what hijinx they get into all over the USA.
The Champion of our Fantasy Football League, Alan Woodruff, sent me this photo of himself and our beloved trophy. The subject line: “Only 6 more months…”
I tell my students this all the time: If you don’t start your designs with a grid, then you’ve already screwed up. I don’t care what you’re trying to accomplish, you need a grid. Sure, you don’t want that grid to “own your ass”, so you can always intentionally “break” that grid after establishing it. But opening Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign / Fireworks / etc. without any idea of how you’re going to lay something out is going to kill you in the end (and your designs will most likely be crappppie).
U.S. Royalty has released this, downloadable EP as they make their way down the East Coast and across the South to Austin, TX’s South by Southwest Music Conference. If you’ve never heard of SXSW, you’ve been living under a rock. Wish these boys luck as they’re sure to melt faces at their SXSW showcase.
