If you’ve never eaten at Woody’s Famous Philadelphia Cheesesteaks in Midtown, you are missing out on one of Atlanta’s most unique dine-in spots. Not only are the cheesesteaks possibly the best in town, but I get a huge kick out of all the hand-painted signs and tabletops in this unassuming restaurant. More often than not, great looking typography is rendered by hand and brought into the computer afterwards (if necessary). Sometimes it is difficult to convince my students at Portfolio Center to stay out of the computer until their ideas have been realized with pencil and paper first. Damn y’all, stay off your MacBooks for a few minutes!

Belle and Sebatian are back after a 5-year break with their new album entitled, Write About Love. The first track, I Didn’t See It Coming, incorporates vocals from multiple group members which I’ve always enjoyed. This is my new early morning jam. Sweet and not too jarring: the perfect soundtrack to a snooty day of graphic design.

Last weekend I went to Texas to see my hometown Texas Rangers take on the Evil Empire (NY Yankees) in the ALCS. The Rangers had never won a home playoff game before and it was important for me to be there to witness history. One of my favorite moments from the weekend was this F-16 flyover of Rangers Ballpark in Arlington prior to the game on Friday night. Badass!

The first piece from our Process Fall/Winter ’10 collection is this handcrafted iPhone sleeve. Our crossed-tomahawks (Tommys) are stamped into the leather and complimented with a side-stitch. It’s definitely a new avenue we haven’t pursued before, but we enjoyed learning about leather-working and we’ll be sure to have other accessories of the same caliber in the future. Available now at Standard‘s Lenox location and coming soon to our online boutique and other retail locations. Follow @WeAreTheProcess on Twitter for updates.

The new Fall/Winter 2010 PROCESS collection has some of my favorite pieces we’ve put together so far. It’s hard to believe that we’re wrapping up our 2nd year of this project! There still are so many ideas that we’ve been wanting to put out there but have yet to find the proper time and place to do so. New looks coming very soon!

While my only difficulties are deciding what cap to wear and where to watch the games, the Braves are in for an uphill battle this postseason. Either way, we’re pumped for some playoff baseball! #TomahawkChop
