It’s so refreshing to see/hear an artist break molds and cross genres successfully. After hearing F**k You for the first time, I was hoping Cee Lo’s new album, The Lady Killer, would carry an old school feel and Cee Lo delievered the sound I was looking for on multiple tracks. Upon first listen, Satisfied, was instantly my new favorite song.
Pretty soon, you’ll see this graphic on the chests of the hardest pushers of dubstep in the land, the DJs of Atlanta Dubstep. Wherever they play, the thought is that they’ll be repping the hometown with pride. It’s great to see this collaboration finally come into fruition! We have HOME & AWAY colorways of this graphic tee that will be available soon. Stay connected on Twitter by following @atlantadubstep & @WeAreTheProcess.
As if his portfolio wasn’t extensive enough, Tinker Hatfield pushes the boundaries with the University of Oregon’s new basketball court design. I’m not surprised one bit with his though process and graphic result. There’s no denying the perks of being a student athlete at Oregon.
It’s always great to see big corporations like Coca-Cola take responsibility for the environment. The International Coastal Cleanup is a brand engagement program that emphasizes the impact that one person can have on saving our ocean and water ways around the globe. We were lucky enough to be brought on board by Alan Woodruff to help create the identity for this program. Jared Dalcourt (soon to be head of EC Design Co. Architecture) and I worked along side Alan to create everything from Posters to T-shirts for the ICC program.
Today, EA Sports announced the cancellation of their annual basketball game, NBA Elite 11 (formerly known as NBA Live). I’m super-bummed out by this decision for 2 reasons:
1) I’m a loyal EA Sports player. I’ve been a huge fan of the FIFA and Madden franchises over the years.
2) I was I was looking forward to picking up a copy of a game with one of my favorite players, Kevin Durant, on the cover.
The demo was buggy and it had horrible controls. I downloaded it and tried it out a few weeks back, but never experienced the hilarious glitch that this dude had, but I know I didn’t like it. Given that there’s no choice here, I’ll reluctantly defect to NBA 2K11 by 2KSports, who’s with me?
One of my favorite albums of all time, Weezer – Pinkerton, is being released tomorrow (November 2nd) on Geffen Records. The Pinkerton Deluxe Edition includes Pinkerton era B-sides, live recordings, acoustic versions, alternate versions, and unreleased tracks along with a remastered version of the original 10 songs. This is a must have for any early =w= fans.
You can have a taste of what’s included in this package with this 14-year old live recording from the UK:
Wine Shack is an upstart wine store located in Huntington, New York. EC took on this project a few month’s back as Ted Ullrich, our lead in NY, brought me on to work on the identity for this brand. Ted worked on an interactive wine-pairing system for the store itself along with other digital elements. Here’s a first look at the logo and business card. There are a lot of brand touchpoints to see and we’ll update as soon as we have more photo-documentation of the work.
