Our good friends & psychotic sports fans, Ed Maisonet & Kenny Masenda, run a website called Ed The Sports Fan & also host a sports driven web-radio show called Unsportsmanlike Conduct. This weekend, they celebrated their 3 year anniversary and we were happy to have been there with them in spirit. Ed is seen here in a photo wearing our Spear graphic tee alongside one of the NBA’s greatest players ever, Oscar Robertson. Amazing stuff boys!
If you’ve been following our twitter account (@WeAreTheProcess), you may have noticed as small programming change over the weekend due to a 48 Hour Packaging Challenge among Portfolio Center students. We thought it’d be cool to have our student friend, Addie (aec), to tweet from the challenge over at our old digs at The Center for Design Study.
Basically, students groups chose to redesign the packaging for milk, honey, beer, or lightbulbs with the chance to win money in 48 hours, as explained in this link. Not sleeping was a common theme among these groups. For more photographic evidence of the events, check out Paul Riley’s flickr album.
Two friends of the Process brand are Justin Bright & Ryan Purcell aka Oh Snap Kid aka 1/2 of Street Lurkin. They can often be seen DJ-ing some of the biggest parties in town with our gear on. Thanks guys!
One of the benefits of having our studio near historic East Point, is this soul food spot called Q’s Restaurant. The food is so good it’ll have you taking afternoon naps instead of hitting deadlines! Oops!
These snapbacks are a first glimpse into the We Are the Process Spring 11 collection. The first snapback has a white crown & white detailing that is inspired by baseball uniforms from the 70?s & 80?s. The second snapback throws back to a straightforward all-black color scheme which originally appeared in our first collection in the Spring of 2009. Both caps bear our chief Nokahoma logo and will be available at Standard on Saturday, February 19th and online at WeAreTheProcess.com on Sunday, February 20th.
Here is a sneak peek at the Nike Sportswear at Hollywood & Vine energy space that is open during this NBA All Star Weekend. This is where basketball and culture converge in Los Angeles. This one-of-a-kind 360-degree experience that celebrates L.A. neighborhoods, the Air Force 1, and the game of basketball. Retail hours – Friday 10pm—2am; Saturday 6pm—9pm.
The boys in U.S. Royalty hit us with a music video for the new single off their album, Mirrors. It details what they were up to for the 2 years leading up to the albums release. Think of it as a montage-umentary. My favorite part is at 1:05. Hot!
