One of the graphic tees in the We Are the Process Spring ‘11 collection will be similar to the graphic you see above, except our cowgirl tee will have her dressed appropriately for a shootout in the Dirty South.
In order to promote for our first trip to Texas as a brand, we made a promotional sticker of her decked out in some Red, White, & Blue. What you’re seeing is actually a variant colorway to enjoy before we reveal the regular version. Get it? I know it sounds confusing, but it really isn’t.
As always, stickers of our “Lone Star” Cowgirl will be sent out with every order from our online store. Or just ask for some stickers in-person next time you see Georgios or myself at the Local.
We’ve been hard at work getting ready for Style X in March. Just preparing our line isn’t the only necessary task. Booking hotels, vans, interns, & deciding on the look of our booth are on our minds. At least we’ve made one big decision about the look of our 10′ x 10′ space in Austin. More to come…
We just received another batch of mini-Nokahoma stickers that you’ll probably start seeing around town. We’ll be sending out a handful of these with every order placed in the We Are The Process Online Boutique. There are some good deals going on right now, so take advantage of ‘em!
Our friends, We Are Wolves, an independent three-piece band from Atlanta, GA have been trying to raise money to mix and master their newest EP. They have put together a group of songs that they have recorded in their studio/living space that represent the victories and tragedies of a young adult building relationships, tearing them down and understanding the ever-changing world around them.
To raise the money, the band has setup a website where you can pledge a donation to help the band achieve their goal. The more you pledge, the more you get back. Pledge $5 and get an advanced digital EP or if you got the dough, for $1000, the band will write/record/mix a song about whatever you want. Pretty cool huh?!
THIS PROJECT WILL ONLY BE FUNDED IF AT LEAST $3,750 IS PLEDGED BY WEDNESDAY FEB 23, 12:12PM EST.

While at the media-briefing for the announcement of the Zoom Kobe VI “Neighborhood Pack” at The Nike Vault at Staples Center, I noticed this torn paper mural of Kobe Bryant. I’ve been a fan of basketball, art, and design for years and I had never seen this piece before. It’s made of torn pieces of black-and-white printed paper depicting key moments in Kobe’s basketball career. The mural is a permanent fixture at The Nike Vault, but it seems to have received little to no attention thus far.
What’s awesome about this piece is that it is a true study of color and contrast. It reminds me of a roided-out cut-paper-poster I worked on for 9 weeks as a 1st quarter student at Portfolio Center. It was one of the most difficult projects I’d ever worked on, but it taught me so much about working with shading and composition. I wonder what kind of adhesive the artist(s) of the Kobe mural used. It sure as hell wasn’t rubber cement, because that’s what I used on my design school cut-paper poster that is currently falling apart!
Stranger Day’s newest track has me wanting more. Word on the street is that he has a full album ready for our earholes and this is just a taste of what’s to come. Moonwalking on the Sun (Produced by EMYND) features a freshened-up version of The Clash’s London Calling beat which makes for an awesome listen.

When I previously heard that the NBA All Star game was going to be in Kobe Bryant’s backyard (Los Angeles), I knew Nike Basketball would celebrate that event with an array of new product. But I didn’t expect Nike Basketball graphic designer, Erick Goto, to take a whimsical new approach to sneaker design and color blocking. Read the rest of this entry »
As some of you may have already deduced, we are taking our brand We Are the Process to SXSW this year. We will be participating in a new fashion related segment called Style X (prononced: Style By). The creators of Style X recently reached out to me and asked me to write an article about the experiences we’ve had in growing our brand as well as what I was enthused about with our trip to Austin in March. If you’re interested in that sort of thing, check outt the longest article I’ve written since college here.
