Command Center

June 23rd, 2011 by Larry

epidemikcoalition_workstation.jpg

Most people who know me know that I’m a total sports junkie and I’ve been completely engrossed with baseball this summer. This is what my workstation currently looks like. I’ll design on my large monitor and stream baseball games on my extra screen. I don’t see much of the in-game action, but I’ve found that I enjoy listening to people talk about strategy more than spinning the latest indie rock jams. What’s wrong with me?!?

Holler at me if you’re an obsessed fan too! I’m always down for catching an Atlanta Braves game and I’d gladly welcome any advice in regards to my fantasy team. No joke, this MLB.TV package has been the best $99 I’ve ever spent.

Speakerfoxxx & J$ol - Dope Boy Anthems

June 22nd, 2011 by Larry

signed_dope_boy_anthems_655.jpg

Recently, our team completed the layout and design for Dope Boy Anthems, the newest mixtape from two of our favorite DJ’s in Atlanta, Speakerfoxxx & J$ol. Speakerfoxxx explains, “My debut mixtape I did with J$oL and hosted by Grip Plyaz features some of the anthems that I grew up to including artists like Lil Will, Yo Gotti, Bun B, Fabo, Scrappy and more. This set of songs defined an era for me growing up in Atlanta that not only pushed me to pursue DJing but also influenced me to be who I am today.

You can download the mixtape below (or in the right sidebar of this site). For those who enjoy hard copies of music, we’ll be sending out autographed copies of Dope Boy Anthems with every order placed in the We Are the Process online store while supplies last. Thanks to Speakerfoxxx for the signatures!

The Southern Series Tee [Black Colorway]

June 15th, 2011 by Larry

southern_series_wearetheprocess_nicekicks_655.jpg

The keystone piece of our recent collaboration with Austin’s Nice Kicks is The Southern Series graphic tee that celebrates a face off between Nice Kicks vs. We Are the Process fictional baseball teams.

There were two colorways of this tee produced in March; a navy tee matches Nice Kicks team gear & a black tee matches almost every article We Are the Process has released as a brand. We have been selfishly & reluctantly hanging onto our stock of this tee for no reason other than the fact that we really enjoyed the experience to work with Nice Kicks, causing us to want to hang on to that memory. How 4th grade of us, right?

We’re finally ready to let go of our beloved tees, just as baseball season is approaching it’s midway point. Score your own Nice Kicks vs. We Are the Process “The Southern Series” tee in our online store before we change our minds!

LESTAT - Scary Nights

June 15th, 2011 by Larry

lestat_655.jpg

We’re happy to present LESTAT, the new music project from our cohort, Ted Ullrich, who you may recognize as EC Design Co.’s head of product development & web development. Ted (keyboard) has teamed up with Sean Pheanis (vocals, beats) to create what they call “cyberpunk dance music”. They spent the majority of last weekend filming a music video next door to a Terry Richardson photoshoot, and we’ll be sure to have the finished edit for you as soon as it’s available. Find LESTAT in Williamsburg, where you’ll most likely be performing at your best friend from art school’s neighbor’s house parties all summer long.

Death Cab for Cutie - Monday Morning

June 15th, 2011 by Eden

deathcabforcutie_655.jpg

Death Cab for Cutie have come a long way from their low-fi Bellingham, WA origins. They gained mega fame with Plans in 2005 with hits Soul Meets Body and I Will Follow You into the Dark, and have been pushing their sound away from the homegrown indie and towards the high-polish mainstream ever since. Although progress for a band is always encouraged, with their new album, Codes and Keys, there comes a nostalgia for the older, rawer Death Cab and the days of Something About Airplanes and The Photo Album. And even direct, more mainstream songs akin to Soul Meets Body are rare on this new record. However, familiarity isn’t completely lost on Codes & Keys. Stay Young Go Dancing, Monday Morning and the single You Are Tourist have more of what’s expected from the group, more of their signature sound and have some very catchy hooks. But it’s lost again with muffled beats and rumbling introductions like on Unobstructed Views. The record is definitely worth a listen for the highlight tracks, but there’s something missing on the album as a whole. But through it all, lovers of the band still get 11 new tracks of Ben Gibbard’s unmistakable voice and some gems that stay true to what’s lovable about Death Cab. Check out Monday Morning from the new record.

Nike LunarGlide+ 3

June 14th, 2011 by Larry

Think about all the folks you see around with a pair of LunarGlides on. They are everywhere. I have a pair of original LunarGlides and I love them. I can stand up for hours a time with no pain. I can run as long as I want (until I get bored of running). I predict the LunarGlide+ 3 will out-do the previous 2 models based on it’s functional design that also makes for a badass looking running shoe. A little birdy told me these will hit retail shelves on July 1st. It’s safe to say Nike Running store at Lenox Square Mall will have every colorway imaginable!

June 13th, 2011 by Larry

kj_h1gher_655.jpg

I recently found this great photo of my good friend, KJ Kearney of H1GHER.com, repping hard for his #BridgeGang from Charleston, SC and for our brand We Are the Process by wearing his Nice Kicks x We Are the Process “Southern Series” Tee.

We’ve been purposely holding onto our stash of these special tees for a looooong time, and they’ll finally be hitting our Online Store this week. Stay tuned! It’s baseball season!

Finally, if you’re a fan of ALL THINGS SOUTHERN (especially streetwear from our part of the country), you need to read H1GHER.com & follow the man on Twitter (@h1gher).
