As creatives we are always looking for new and interesting ways to get the “word” out. It’s not so much finding a cute way of saying the same old thing, but a fresh take on telling a great story. In this case, TNT in Belgium nailed it. TNT asked, “What happens when you push the button?” A few inquisitive folks found out. A sign above the button simply read, “Push to add drama.”
It’s been a little over two years since I lost my little angel, Cammy. Those of you who knew her continue to remind me how much they miss her. To most folks, she was the average household pet, but to me she was my partner-in-crime (like ‘Jake’ from “Adventure Time”). We were inseparable. She will go down in history as one of the all-time greatest: quiet yet bitchy; loving yet distant; happy yet curious for what was around the corner.
It’s a hard thing losing your ‘best friend’; you sometimes catch yourself calling for them, swear their spirit is coming out in a surviving pet, or see another dog, “That has to be her!!” Which brings me to my question, “Can dogs have doppelgangers?” For me, Maddie give me my answer. I have been blessed by the ether to stumble upon a gem of blog and the spitting image of my sweet girl. If you have a second, check out MaddieOnThings.com. Those of you who do are sure to laugh, and those who loved Cammy are guaranteed to shed a tear. Thanks for listening, y’all.
Joah is the reason why we were invited to showcase our brand We Are the Process at SXSW’s first ever Style X show last March. We’ll be back to Style X again this coming spring and are looking forward to our sophomore SXSW experience. While in Austin for the holidays, I was able to catch up with Joah to catch his Xmas wish list. Check it out after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »
I’ve been in Austin, TX over the holidays and caught up with a few old friends, asking them what they were hoping for from Santa. Here’s a top 5 list from Niraj Mehdiratta, owner of Apothecary Cafe & Wine Bar. Sidenote: The mac & cheese at Apothecary is the best in town.

The Braves may have lost last night, but we won our fantasy baseball league. The final match-up wasn’t even close! Yeaaa… we some big talkin’ fools now!
We stopped by Scoutmob HQ again the other day to deliver some tees to our friends. Here’s Mike D. posing in his new We Are the Process tee and the GJT office award given to the top performer for the day.
I can’t put my finger on that specific point in time, but there was a point where playing 8-bit Nintendo games, listening to 90’s alt rock, & watching reruns of Saved by the Bell became desirable, and ironically cool activities again. I’ve recently fallen back in love with baseball, and that obsession has led me back to card collecting. When I’m at the store these days, I look for a display and grab a few packs of Topps 2011 baseball cards. The last time I opened a pack of baseball cards, prior to this year, was probably 1992.
Topps, who are celebrating their 60th Diamond Anniversary, have made card collecting fun for people nostalgic of the past, as well as any casual fans of present-day baseball. Like most people, going into this season I knew a few players that are considered stars of the game. I also had a some prior knowledge about most of the Atlanta Braves, and my hometown Texas Rangers.
I think Topps realized there has been a significant gap between the baseball fans of yesteryear, where a large percentage of fans were into card collecting, and today’s more casual baseball fans. Topps’ 2011 collection does a great job at rekindling the nostaligia.
After the jump, I’ll highlight some of my favoirte things that Topps is doing this year. Read the rest of this entry »
Most people who know me know that I’m a total sports junkie and I’ve been completely engrossed with baseball this summer. This is what my workstation currently looks like. I’ll design on my large monitor and stream baseball games on my extra screen. I don’t see much of the in-game action, but I’ve found that I enjoy listening to people talk about strategy more than spinning the latest indie rock jams. What’s wrong with me?!?
Holler at me if you’re an obsessed fan too! I’m always down for catching an Atlanta Braves game and I’d gladly welcome any advice in regards to my fantasy team. No joke, this MLB.TV package has been the best $99 I’ve ever spent.
