Do yourself a favor and check out an Atlanta Braves game on a Friday night this summer. They’re doing post game fireworks after every game, win or lose. Last night’s loss was brightened by the show afterwards. I also caught a foul ball in the 2nd inning! I actually ended up falling into the row in front of me. Did anyone see my blooper on TV?

If you’ve been anything like me over the past 3 weeks you’ve spent a lot of time on baseball. Thanks to MLB.tv, I’ve been able to keep track of all the players on the @WeAreTheProcess fantasy baseball team, while watching television broadcasts from all over the country. I’ve started to notice that announcers use unique vernacular when speaking about their teams. Nike has touched upon a this flair with their new MLB Local T-Shirts that are now available for $20 on Eastbay. If you’re a fan of sports aesthetics like me, you’ll get a kick out of all these designs.

For the second consecutive year, Minnesota Twins perennial All-Star, Joe Mauer is the cover athlete for MLB ’11 The Show, available exclusively for PlayStation. To commemorate this achievement, Nike will release the Nike Huarache TR Low “The Show”. This very limited trainer will be released on April 9th at Nike Mall of America, East Bay, select Minnesota and Chicagoland retailers, and Nice Kicks.
The Huarache TR Low “The Show” retails for $110 and is a baseball lover and gamers’ dream. Baseball inspired stitching around the toe emulates that of laces on a ball. The PlayStation logo is prominently displayed on the shoe’s outer tongue. The right shoe’s inner tongue includes Mauer’s iconic ‘7M’ logo.
When I’ve had the time to train/exercise, I’ve been wearing Zoom Huarache Trainer Mids. They feel like walking on clouds and I never feel any pain in my feet or knees. I’m looking forward to the freedom that a pair of lows will allow me. Now, if only someone would hook me up with the MLB ’11 so I can confirm how terrible I am at “new school” baseball games…

Last weekend I went to Texas to see my hometown Texas Rangers take on the Evil Empire (NY Yankees) in the ALCS. The Rangers had never won a home playoff game before and it was important for me to be there to witness history. One of my favorite moments from the weekend was this F-16 flyover of Rangers Ballpark in Arlington prior to the game on Friday night. Badass!

While my only difficulties are deciding what cap to wear and where to watch the games, the Braves are in for an uphill battle this postseason. Either way, we’re pumped for some playoff baseball! #TomahawkChop
