Sopo Bicycle Cooperative is pleased to present their first ever Bicycle Frame Show, a group show of bicycle frames designed on and transformed by local artists and artist collectives. The show is at Green Certified Radial Cafe in Candler Park. Frames are on sale now for $200 each. Unsold and For-Auction-Only frames will be auctioned during the closing reception on Saturday, April 26, between 7 pm and 11 pm. The party features performances by Hot Toddy’s Flaming Cabaret, Atlanta Sedition Orchestra, and Lindsay Appel.

All proceeds benefit Sopo Bicycle Cooperative, your 501(c)3 nonprofit community bicycle repair shop, located in sunny East Atlanta.

It’s always great to participate in fresh, local art shows. We’ve been talking with Rachael Spiewak with Sopobikes.org; helping her brainstorm ideas for this show since last December. Not only did we get the opportunity to do a custom bike frame, but she asked us to design the show poster. Don’t miss out.

Project Fourt @ Coke HQ: Part 9

March 18th, 2008 by Georgios

We went back up to Coca-Cola HQ this past week and installed a few more things that we didn’t get to finish on the last round. We had a fun time experimenting with spray paint and inks. We have a few more things to install and a whole conference room to design. So keep a lookout for future Project Fourt news.

Check out more photos after the jump.

Shock Cinema: Return to the Dirty Dirty

September 25th, 2007 by Larry

Seriously, Shock Cinema is my favorite Atlanta band. Well, technically they’re from New York now but they got their start here in the ATL and moved over a year ago. They’ve since been signed to a record label and they’ve recently released an album called Our Way Is Revenge. Pitchfork only gave it a 5.4 but we all know that they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Being a film school nerd and noise-junkie, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed their live shows which feature visual remixes of classic horror films. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you have no excuse to miss this event. I have no doubt that their Return to the Dirty Dirty is going to be incredible.
