At the last Process x El Bar party, we gave this piece to Rob Wonder and Rosa. It was influenced by the El Bar Mary t-shirt that we collaborated on. We are working on something special with El Bar so stay tuned for more.
You may remember me showing a teaser of this a while back. The M-26-7 project was commissioned by Erik Hansson after discovering the Cohiba pieces in our portfolio. He wanted something similar for his living space so we decided to meet up and brainstorm. After Erik expressed his like for anything communist related, I decided to create these pieces of the 4 Comandantes (Castro, Che, Raul & Camilo) of the Cuban Revolution. The M-26-7 stands for the 26th of July Movement.
I’m working on another piece for some friends of EC so stayed tuned.
The other day, Ted and I passed through Atlanta Bench on Marietta Street in search of some big, juicy, drippy graffiti markers for a special project. We were pleased to find a large selection of Montana paints, Krink products, and apparel by lots of local graf writers and artists such as Urban Medium. We spent some time talking to the store’s owner, Rich, and we’re looking forward to working with them in the near future. Also, we discovered a new ink called Soup, which is made locally right here in ATL. For any outside-the-box project, it’s definitely great having a boutique like this in our backyard.
I’ve always said that there is something in Atlanta’s water. Just remember to filter your H20 before you drink it. Keep a look out on the blog for a sneak peek of a summer tee design.
The killer mix you’re hearing is called “Smash Your Head” by Girl Talk
Look for EC all over town and we’ll see you at the Girl Talk show at Azul in October.
